strategy analyzer results empty

Hello,

I have a problem getting the strategy analyzer to work correctly for me.

I try to apply the standard implemented strategy "SampleMACrossOver" to the instrument FDAX 06-11 but I don't get any results. If I apply the same strategy to the instrument ES 06-11 I'll get result.

Here is what I do in both cases:

1.) File -> New -> Strategy Analyzer
2.) Right-Click the corresponding instrument e.g. ES 06-11 -> Backtest
3.) Select "SampleMACrossOver" and put in the parameters
4.) Run Backtest

I use EOD data from Kinetick and can draw a chart of the FDAX 06-11 for the stated time period. (after changing the session template to "Default 24/7")

Please find attached two screenshots of the different results pages.

I would be highly glad if someone could give me any hint on why the result for FDAX 6-11 are empty.

PadanFain, welcome to our forums - are you on NinjaTrader 7 R6 here (7.0.1000.6)?

Please try changing the default session template used for the FDAX master instrument in your Instrument Manager to Default 24/7 as well and then recheck in the Strategy Analyzer.

yes, I am on Ninja Trader Version 7.0.1000.6.

Ok, glad to hear it and thanks for reporting back - this bug you unfortunately ran into will be fixed with our next release R7.

I encountered the same problem when I backtest on ES it works fine but when I run it on sp500 EOD data I get no results. I tried the suggestion below by changing the session template but still no results any suggestions ! I am running NT version 7.0.1000.6

Welcome to our forums, I just tried and could not reproduce it here - if I changed my default session template for the SP500 to Default 24 / 7 under Tools > Instrument Manager and then backtested again it would work fine. What data feed provider and chart type are working on here?

sorry my fault I was doing it wrong, now it is working after changing to default 24/7
