Cant Submit an exit order to a strategy until any of its entry orders has been filled

I want to enter 2 orders (a bracket order) with one sell and one buy but I want to have one cancel automatically if one of the orders is entered.

However, when I try to do this I get this error: "Cant Submit an exit order to a strategy until any of its entry orders has been filled".

How do you do OCO and have each one with its own ATM strategy?

Hello Pedro,

One of the great features of NinjaTrader is its ability to submit two entry orders, one which will cancel if the other is filled.

You can accomplish a breakout/breakdown approach with the steps provided below. Be sure to select an ATM Strategy again prior to submitting your second order.

• Right click in the SuperDOM and select the menu "OCO Order" to enable this function
• For your first order, select the desired option from the "ATM Strategy" drop down list
• Submit your stop order to buy above the market
• For your second order, select the desired option from the "ATM Strategy" drop down list
• Submit your stop order to sell below the market
• CRITICAL Right click in the SuperDOM and select the menu "OCO Order" to disable this function

For a market fade approach just subsitute limit orders for stop orders.

I tried to do what you said on the DOM and unfortunately I get the same error when I try to enter the second order that has an ATM strategy attached to it.

THe error is "You cant submit an exit order to a strategy until any of its entry orders has been filled"

I already checked OCO but it does not make a difference

I forgot to say that it ONLY works when I DON'T put an ATM strategy to the order.

Prior to submitting your second order please select an ATM Strategy from the drop down menu again.
