Just starting to dabble in the alerts and have realized that I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I'm trying to make an audio alert based on the color change of an indicator. Is this possible? I opened the alerts window and its completely blank and everything I attempt to do adds nothing to it. Do alerts have to be programmed/scripted then loaded similar to an indicator?

Yes, unfortunately you will need to program the alert in an indicator or strategy.
You can setup alerts in the Market Analyzer, however you can only use numeric values in the comparison condition. Please see the link below for information to create alerts in the Market Analyzer.
