Preferred DSL speed for Ninja trader

Hi, can anyone suggest how much is the acceptable internet speed for ninja trader trading? will 2MB connection be enough to trade a crude oil market?

We advise to get the fastest internet connection when trading live. I am not sure if the 2MB connection is fast enough. I suggest to test it in simulation first - check if CL data is received as expected even during high volatile periods.

Hi Jason, Thanks for your message. On Sim I will get filled even if the data is received later but on live mode, I may not be filled and get a late entry message for a buy stop. But later I discovered I had a corrupt workspace which was making problems in live trading.

So 2MB is not use huh?

Unfortunately we do not have a minimum internet connection speed we can suggest. If you intend to trade live, we recommend to take the fastest internet connection possible.

princegolds, I have a 1.5mb DSL connection as a back-up and find it works just fine when used as the primary connection when needed.

When I'm in South Africa I use a 384k line (internet is ridiculously priced here) with +-350ms latency and I don't see any difference between that and my 6mb line I use when I'm in the US. I only have CL charts open and only one contract month. But Mirus does suggest a minimum of 768k when using them with NT and Zen-Fire.
