IB and Kinetick

If I connect to IB first and then Kinetick and use range or tick charts, will ninja use the real time from IB and backfill the historical tick data from Kinetick. (As IB does not provide historical tick data.)

Thanks for the note.

NinjaTrader will pull all data from IB in this case since IB supports all instruments. Only in the case of your first connection not supporting an instrument type will data be used from the secondary source. IB supports futures, forex and equities therefor all data requests go to IB. You would have to switch your connection order to get data from kinetick.

How do you switch your connection order? Mine connects IB then Kinetick. I would like to have Kinetick connect first.

Hello,

Do you have these set to auto start? If you are going to File->Connect then simply connect first to Kinetick.

If you have auto start enabled you will need to go to control center->tools->account connections and then change the name of the Kinetick one to have an A in front for example. Since NinjaTrader connects its auto start connection in alphabetical order.
