    Show bid and ask price

Hi is there anyway to get two charts overlayed of the same instrument.....One that would show the bid price and one that would show the ask price?

    Hello wowzers,

    Thank you for your post

    Yes this is possible:
    • Control Center > File > New > Chart
    • In the data series window > Enter/select your instrument on the left > New
    • In the parameters panel on the left: Price based on > Bid > Panel > 1
    • Repeat the above two steps for the Ask price, just switch bid to ask

Please note that some providers may not have historical Bid and Ask data. Please review the following link for this information:

Hi James, Sorry In my initial question I meant get the bid and ask to plot on same chart......I know its possible to separately plot bid and ask but I would like the same chart to have Bid and ask...how to do that?

So for example on a line tick chart I would have 2 continous price lines. One for bid and one for ask on the same chart..

        Hello wowzers,

Once you have entered the Ask on your chart, simply add another data series by selecting an instrument from the left > new. You will now have a second data series on the chart and you will want to change the parameters on the left for this second series to:
        • Price based on > Bid
        • Panel > 1
        • OK

Actually, I am having a little pronlem. When I have both bid and ask on the chart it seems the I can only alter either the bid or ask by pressing (ALT + Down). I cant alter the primary chart (in this case bid). What can i do about this?

              Hello wowzers,

You may dictate which data series is to be modified by first left clicking the data series with your mouse. When a data series is selected in this manner, black boxes will appear on the data series to indicate it is the data series to be modified.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Ok James Thankyou. Now I am wondering if there is a way to increase the space between the bid and ask charts that I have put up. Is there anyway to elongate the scaling for this purpose?

                  Hello wowzers,

You can change the scaling by left clicking the price axis and dragging upwards and downwards with your mouse. Please view the following link for more information about chart navigation:

I know how to do that but the problem is that I can set it to a manual specified scal and have it auto scale with those parameters. It simply stays on the manual parameters and price can move out of the screen so to speak because the scale is fixed. How can I play with the scale and STILL have it auto scale but with my manual settings?

                      Hello Wowzers,

Unfortunately, you can not have auto-scale and fixed scale selected at the same time. With that said, you can re-center your price action manually with your fixed scale settings by:
                      • Holding 'Ctrl' on your keyboard and left clicking the price axis and dragging
