Account Performance and Commission

Is the Total Net Profit that shows also deducting Commission (if commission is set up)?

For example, on a CQG feed I have it set to $5 per round turn across the board. If total Net Profit for the day shows $-177.50 and Gross Profit shows $262.50 and Gross Loss shows $-440.00 and Commission shows $85.00 in the Account Performance section was the $85.00 Commission shown already deducted from the Total Net Profits OR does one have to take $85.00 from the Total Net Profits making it then in actuality $262.25?

Please let me know so that I am 100% sure on both:

1. Demos
and
2. Live Accounts

in Ninjatrader Account Performance.

Hello birdog,

Thank you for your post.

If you have setup commissions, they will automatically be calculated into your Total Net Profit.

This would be the same for a live account or a sim account.

Ok, so if the Total Net Profit says $-177 (for example) and there is a figure in the Commission box in the Account Summary, then I can assume that the $-177 has already taken the said Commission that show out of the Total Net Profit?

I know this seems obvious, but I have had problems with that before on a real account on a previous version of NT...

So, please confirm this is correct...smile....

Yes, you understand correctly.

The only case where the commission will not be deducted is if there commissions value was blank in the account performance.
