Best and Fastest way to get notified of new front months

Hi,

In NT, what is the best way to be notified of new front months so that we do not get caught trading lower volume months that are in the midst of moving to new higher volume front months?

Please let me know all options in NT and otherwise so we are reminded and or have it done automatically for us on our instrument manager, charts, doms, market analyzers etc...?

Please also list in suggestion for automatic adjustments (kind of like Think or Swim does)...

Hi Birddog,

It depends what you are trading exactly. If you are trading markets with a regular expiration schedule, then you should be aware of these transition dates. If it's less regular and the volume shifts gradually, you can watch for these volume shifts. There is no automatic change, but you are provided a system message during rollover for futures tracking us stock indices. This message also includes a link to instructions and a video to help with these.

You can custom code alerts that check volume or specific days and be alerted. I would discuss this with your broker so you can be aware of important dates and deadlines for the particular markets you're trading.
