Market Replay window does not appear

    Market Replay window does not appear

    Today - after connecting to market replay the control dialog does not appear on the screen. It does not appear in the window list either although the Dom thinks its connected to market replay. It still works on my backup computer ( not simultaneously connected ) but not on my main computer some thing is definitely wrong
    I tried reinstalling Nt 7. that did not solve it and there is nothing in the log to indicate a problem.

    I am running Windows 7 64 bit
    Nt 7 ver. 7.0.10000.6 64 bit
    Dual monitors

    Any suggestions ?

    Hi Jerry, please try shutting NT7 down and then use a fresh set of workspaces by moving the present .xml files out of your C:\Users\* your user name*\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\workspaces folder.

    Then restart NT7 and reconnect to Market Replay, is the slider control then back in view for you?

      Thanks that worked but here is what is confusing to me.
      1) I restored a ninja backup from 1 week ago. I have been using replay all week , so when that backup was restored it should of worked. It didn't
      2) After performing the copy out you suggested and it worked, I copied back in the workspace that was loaded previously where replay would not work and now it works.

      While I can maybe understand #2 I don't understand why your backup/restore would not make things right.

        Jerry, the restore then likely did not overwrite your current _workspaces.xml which would store the replay control center location and positioning, by removing this file > you recreated the defaults which work now.

          Still struggling with this issue. Can you provide the necessary xml edit to position the window?

          Deleting all workspaces doesn't help. Same issue with a clean workspace.

          Window shows up in ALT+tab but unable to be clicked on.

            Thank you very much for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forums.

            Are you referring to NinjaTrader 7 or 8? With NinjaTrader 8, this information is no longer saved in the workspace itself.

            To reset the position of this window in NinjaTrader 8, please follow the steps below instead:
            • Shut NinjaTrader down
            • Open the Windows Explorer
            • Navigate to Documents > NinjaTrader 8
            • Delete the “UI.XML” file
            • Restart NinjaTrader
