Historical FOREX data question

Two questions:

1. Once I load historical data will I be able to pull it up and interact with it.... Even if I'm not connected to my data source? Use it in Strategy Analyzer and / or a new Chart?

2. I don't need a live feed of market data... I just need historical FOREX data going as far back as possible on daily and minute data. Does anyone have recommendations as to where I could purchase that? I do not want or need a monthly recurring fee.

As you can tell, I'm looking to use NT mainly for strategy development on historical FX data. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for your post.

Yes, once the historical data has been downloaded it will remain in your local database. You will not need to be connected in order to interact with this data.

We do not have any recommendations on where to purchase historical data to be imported. Perhaps another member can share their experience here.
