Transmit but not submit order

Hi,

I am using IB as my broker.

I want to change the default trigger method from "Default" to "Bid / Ask". However, I believe this is not possible within Ninjatrader. IB has a field for the trigger method (m_triggerMethod) in their Order object API ... however, I believe NT does not use this attribute to remain cross compatible. Please correct me if I am wrong.

To circumvent this, I wanted to build a custom module in IB that modifies the trigger method attribute in transmitted orders and then submits then. However, today, NT directly submits orders. I cannot build a custom module in IB that changes the trigger method to an order that is already submitted.

So
a) Is my understanding that it is not possible in NT to change the m_trigerMethod field when sent to IB?
b) Is it possible to make NT transmit an order to IB but not submit it?

Unfortunately there is no support to change this within NinjaTrader. We connect with a variety of market data and trade execution APIs, so tend to stay away from features that can only be taken advantage of with only one.
