    Strategy "enabled" behavior

    Hi there,

Can someone give us a comprehensive look at what happens every time I click "enabled" on a disabled strategy?

Is all previous strategy-related state wiped out, and all initializers executed again? Or is it possible that some local variables might be retained from the previous instance? I.e., is it doing a 'new' on the strategy class, or...?

I understand (based on comment from someone else yesterday) that the code might not be reloaded by the classloader. Assuming the class itself hasn't changed.. I'm just curious about other behavior.

On NT 6.5, I got used to always deleting/re-creating a new strategy every time, to get the "right" behavior.

Hi heech, in NT7 we have now have strategy persistence so an instance of the strategy can be 'parked' with the enabled property set to false - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...ed_strateg.htm

If readd it fresh, it would be creating a new instance as in NT 6.5

For newly introduced strategy vs account position considerations because of this concept please review this link:
