This is another catch22 situation: I have to ask blindly all around because no one wants to admit that their TT Fix is coalesced because otherwise customers could have issues with Ninja.
Since you wrote: "- Non-coalesced data from TT will not crash NT however, one wouldexperience data bursting issues which will overload NT from a CPUstandpoint for brief moments in time" --- well, which TT feed do you use in order to state that affirmation?

It seems that no one in this forum have access to a TT Fix non-coalesced, otherwise it would be equivalent to Zenfire and usually you have no problems affirming that Zenfire is unfiltered...Last edited by paulg; 09-26-2009, 08:19 AM.

Ok, clear; just an information, pls, quite easy: are Velocity Futures and AMP Futures the only 2 FMCs/ brokers able to provide a TT Fix for Ninja?Originally posted by NinjaTrader_Dierk View PostWe are broker/FCM neutral, thus we are unable to provide you the information you are looking for. Either you will get that info from the broker/FCM himself or the community might contribute.
Thanks for your understanding.

No, other supported broker partners use the Trading Technologies broker technology as well.
Great, so which other broker partners use TT Fix? If you can't reply here who could give me the full, detailed reply, please?
Kind regards,
Paul

Kyle,
Thanks for your help! I'm going to contact them to understand who uses a coalesced TT fix and who ...not.
Regards,
Paul

Hey Paul
I am switching to Global Futures (will be moving to XTrader soon).
I havent heard about the coalescing before. Thanks for bringing the issue on top.
Would you please share what information on other brokers could you manage to get?
I am going to call GF on Monday. 100 ms seems to be a killer. If I wanted 100ms delay I'd use OEC or something...
Do you know if there is coalescing in CQG data?
Cheers

The term 'coalesced' used here is about the TT Fix environment; I don't think that an highly respectable datafeed as CQG coalasces data; it should be one of the most reliable feed together with X_Trader original XTAPI, Zenfire, Bloomberg, DTN IQFeed.
Also note that even the CME recently unbundled its datafeed 'further'. Dunno how and whether this is causing issues with NT/Zenfire.
See the CME Bulletin for further info.

I dont use neither Zen nor Bloomberg.
I am not sure I understood you point. Are you saying that CQG data feed faster than TT no matter what?
My current situation is - I have opened an account for X_Trader but havent funded it yet. I still can change it to CQG.
I hate CQG UI but the speed is of ultimate priority. I cannot afford extra 100ms delay.
Please advise.

TT Fix is the protocol used to link to external software such as 3d party front ends such as Ninja. It may be 'customized' with some settings such as the coalesced ratio for reasons explained below or internals @ FCM/brokers.
This is different than X_Trader feed that relies directly on the Guardian server enabled by your broker with your account. This is the 'purest' TT feed.
In this thread I'm exclusively dealing with the TT Fix coalesced ratio used to load the TT feed into Ninjatrader. NT software/firm is listed under TT Connected Partner Program.
Please check TT web site or forum for more info.
I cannot comment about CQG but usually is considered a reliable professional feed.
