Noob question
Is there a service that provide free real time forex and commodities charts ?

I when to a several in the NT guide , but all of them are pay or end of day free

Thanks for the forum post.

Unfortunately there are no live or intra day historical charts that will provide data for free. However www.kinetick.com has a free end of day daily service you can use and also has very reasonable rates on data without you having to open up a brokerage account to get some live data.

That data, especially for futures has value and fees associated with it. The CME exchange itself charges $60+ monthly for the data that is passed on to subscribers somewhere in the $100+ monthly fee live data costs.

Some brokers will give free or reduced cost data to active traders. If you had a funded account at MB Trading, for example, they would give you intraday and historical data for free for FX, but pass on the CME exchange fee to you, unless you negotiated that charge away with your volume of business.... ultimately someone pays the $60+ to CME, either you will pay it, or the broker might agree to absorb the cost to keep your business. Either way the CME gets paid.

You can get a limited time trial to MB Trading and get NinjaTrader fired up with live FX data for 30 days.

Amp Futures also has a 30 day free trial for Globex futures data.

Why don't you start with one or both of those for 30 days and go from there. MB has a very very low $400 minimum deposit to open an account, and that would get you free intraday data as long as the acoount remains open. (FX only)
