"getting data from server" refreshes entire data set?

Is there a way to download only new chart data, everytime I view an instrument I've already viewed before.

I noticed when "Get Data from Server (If Available)" is toggled on, it seems to always
downloads the entire set, thereby making my charts load up longer than necessary.

And when its toggled off, charts of never-been-viewed-before instruments don't load up.

I'm using NT 7 with "Save Chart Data as Historical" on, and eSignal onDemand as my data source.

klotzki, if you have a feed that supports historical data backfill from their servers, you do not have to save the realtime data as historical data to your local database - to see when NinjaTrader would load data from an external source please see this link here - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...rical_data.htm
