Delayed equity data from Interactive Brokers

With any IB account you can get delayed data to any markets you don't subscribe to. I often use this function to check the daily charts of Australian equities I'm watching. I can even pull up a chart through IB with these delayed daily charts. However, when I try and use that data to open a chart in NT I get an error message stating "Error on loading chart data for 'xxx': Historical Market Data Service error message: No market data permissions for ASX STK".

I don't understand why I would need data permissions when I can get the same data to load in an IB account. I would be extremely grateful if you could tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your note and welcome to the NInjaTrader support forum.

Unfortunately NinjaTrader does not support IB delayed data. Therefor you will be able to pull in these charts or data into NinjaTrader as it is a TWS only item. You would need to have a live subscription to the data for NinjaTrader to be able to receive the data.
