Well, I am starting to consider a reinstall.

Can you tell me where the chart drawings, the parameters for indicators and the parameters for strategies are stored so that I can copy them manually as well?

If you don't trust the backup, perhaps just save a copy of the entire Documents > NinjaTrader 7 directory.

where exactly are the files located that keep a) chart drawings, b) indicator parameters and c) strategy parameters?

The reason I aks is that I consider to backup twice, once with the NT backup function and once manually (if I have enough time and disk space).

All of the settings are held in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 folder.

Chart drawings are saved as parts of workspaces and as parts of tempaltes. Both the Templates and Workspaces folders would need to be saved.

Indicator and strategy defaults are saved in the Bin/Custom indicator or strategy folders.

Non custom settings are part of the indicator itself. Rather than worry about all the individual items, I'd recommend that you simply copy the entire NinjaTrader 7 directory.

Kyle, I do worry about all the individual items because if something goes wrong it's me who has to fix it. So I have to know where is what.

Anyway, I found most of the things I need.

Friday and Monday will not be much action on the markets so I will reinstall NT over the weekend.
