x axis tick mark

How do you edit the tick mark on the x axis (time axis) so that if say I have a daily chart, i can change the tick mark to show every 2nd day or every day?

Thank you for your post.

The x-axis in the NinjaTrader 7 charting feature will be auto-formatted so manually configuring these in the Chart Properties menu is not available.

You do have the option of programming a custom indicator/plot to delineate these ‘tick mark’ session breaks. If you would like more info on programming in NinjaScript let me know.

Replying here rather than starting a new thread.

Today, for some reason, my 3-minute OHLC bar chart started displaying with major gridlines every 7 bars instead of every 10 bars. The X axis now displays odd times like 7:57, 8:24 8:51 instead of 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, making it difficult to place draw objects at desired time locations in the future.

Is there any way to restore my chart to displaying more natural gridlines and axis labels?

(EDIT: Seems like the bar spacing resulted in the odd axis label increment. Widening the bar spacing restored the more natural increments. Please consider a small improvement to calculate gridline spacing so that most of them fall on logical intervals, like 5 or 10 minutes.)
