Can I freeze Global Cross Hairs?

Is it possible to freeze Global Cross Hairs?

When I have it fixed on a point in one chart I can see the relevent point on another chart but I can't get to it without some circuitous route off screen avoiding other charts.

    Many Thanks

    Alan

    Hello saintalan,

    Thank you for your post.

It is not possible to freeze the cross hairs on a chart at this time.

I have sent a note to development to add to their list of upcoming features. I will let you know once we have a tracking number for this request.

As a workaround, I've found it helpful to right click on the chart to bring up the context menu, and then move my mouse cursor to another chart. This will essentially "freeze" the crosshair on that point on the original chart.

Matthew thanks for prompt reply and tip.

Unfortunately it does not work for me. It's OK until you move to another chart.

      Cheers

Here is a video on the way global tracking is handeled in another program ....this method works very well...
World's leading screen capture + recorder from Snagit + Screencast by Techsmith. Capture, edit and share professional-quality content seamlessly.

Another alternate method to look at could be something like this...on your vertical line draw tool...
when one formats this tool and selects "attach to:"....in the drop down list create an entry for "Show on all Global Objects Charts" (or some definition like that)....the vertical line would then behave as a global object on all charts that are set to True with Show global draw objects....this has the advantage that one does not have to have the Global Cross Hair enabled on charts that one wishes to compare chart points in time globally....and the lines would remain stable as one moves the pointer wherever....

          Thanks....
