        Hello

        I am inquiring with our IT dept what the cause of the issue was. I will post once I get a response regarding the specifics.

          Demo versions not working...

          I'm trying to do the amp futures demo and that's not working...it did work as of Friday, but I get the same connection failed errors. I see some people have it working again. Are you running live accounts?

            Yes this is a live account. If you are on a demo of CQG then it is only good for one week. You have to extend it with AMP futures each week. The error we were getting was that the login network was not available.

              I thought it might be the 5-day expiration, but to test it, I just signed up for a brand new demo and that one didn't work either.

                Please send your Log & Trace files for the date this occurred.

                From the NinjaTrader Control Center go to Help > ‘Email to Support…’ and check the box by “Log & Trace file”

                Please also make sure to include a reference to this forum thread.

                    Is NT7/CQG fully compatible with Windows 7 64-bit?

                    Hi all,

                    I currently use Ninja Trader 7 with CQG/AMP datafeed on a 32-bit Windows Vista, 4Gb RAM, Intel Core Duo 1.6Ghz laptop computer with 4 external screens connected to it via USB. Surprisingly it runs reliably well for usual day trading and indicator programming but can be a bit sluggish when it comes to back testing my stratagies.

                    Nevertheless I am considering upgrading to a Windows 7 64-bit >3Ghz desktop machine but I need to know whether Ninja Trader 7 with CQG/AMP is fully compatible with Windows 7 64-bit ? Also would I really take advantage of a i7 processor or would an i3 or i5 be less overkill ? Thanks in advance.

                      Hi dowtrader,

                      NinjaTrader 7 can connect to CQG and while operating in 64 bit mode.

                      In terms of a processor, the general rule is 'the faster the better', but I don't have any specific recommendations for you on these three. Perhaps another forum user could offer an opinion?
