    Trade Station to Ninja Trading DAX

    Hello,
    I'm using tradestation hooked into NT which is then going to IB as my broker. When I trade the Dax with an automated strategy from tradestation I keep getting my orders rejected. I see that IB has the symbol for the Dax future as DAX but trade station sends the order with the symbol FDAX and the State in the orders tab reads "Rejected: Unable to submit order: Please assign an additional exchange to this instrument in the Instrument manager FDAX default"

    I have all the data for DAX on my IB so thats not a problem.

    Hi Pete,

    You should be able to configure this in the instrument manager. The help guide article for TradeStation symbol mapping is available here:


    From the message you're getting is submitting to FDAX Default, which may be a stock and not the future traded on EUREX.

    If you have FDAX defined as a stock, I would delete this from the instrument manager or reset your instruments, through Tools > Options > Data tab.

      Ok thank.
      Now another strange message has come up
      "trade station order was filled more then 20 seconds ago, but Ninjatrader order still pending: Sell Short 1 limit @1290.75
      What does that mean and why would it come up?

          Thanks, Pete. I corrected the link in my first thread.

          NinjaTrader will either submit the order "as is" or submit a market order on TS fill. This is controlled through Tools > Options > ATI > TradeStation tab.

          For more details on what happened, we would need to review your trace / log files. You can send these using Help > Mail to support feature. Attn: RyanM. Let us know what time the trade occurred so we know where to look.
