Runing two strategies at the same time

Hi, there

I'm running two strategies at the same time on the same pair (eur.usd). Both of them are sync with account.

The question is, what happens if one strategy triggers BUY and the other one triggers SELL. Would I have two positions? I mean, each strategy has its own position or not?

How do I proceed asuming that I want to have each strategy running at the same time but separate the positions one from the other?

I'm from Madrid (Spain), hope I explained well my doubts

josechu, the overall strategy position would then be flat provided both strategies trade the same size - if the executed account is then flat, too - the sync would be present. In general the strategy position across all your strategies has to fit what the accounts holds.

ok. Another scenario:
- strategy A says SELL, strategy B says BUY. Mkt goes up till strategy A says BUY. In that case I should have 2 long positions according to both strategies, isn't it?

Correct if strategy B would then still be long, so the overall strategy position would be 2 long positions.

Ok, that means that NINJA will trigger 2 buying orders as the overall position was flat.

could you explain me if this will be that way?

Yes, it should : provided the sync between overall strategy and account position was intact before the strategies placed those orders.

URGENT: NINJA TRADER hasn't work properly today. Strategy A is short and strategy B is long (both of the same size) but the account position is short double.

I tell you that so far had worked well, but today not. Why not? It's causing me losses!!

Strategy worked well as I've watched the log.
BUT LOG says that at 09:50 am stratgy A was disabled ant then again enabled... I swear I didn't do that!!!
