Chart Trader Data switch from Kinetick to Broker

In order to successfully load charts on start up, I have to use Kinetick data. However, the quotes in Kinetick data are not the same as my broker MBT. Therefore, once I get the charts up, I would like to revert to MBT data so i am trading broker data. I have tried to simply disconnect the Kinetick data, but I am not convinced this is a good idea. In the chart trader, the Bid/Ask quotes sometimes get stuck on the last quotes prior to my disconnect. Even though the chart may continue to update, those numbers freeze. I don't like the idea of trading live with something like that happening.

Is there a way to open charts with Kinetick and then convert to broker data and keep the charts running correctly?

Hello billr,

Please disconnect Kinetick as you currently do. You will receive all real-time data from the first connection in NinjaTrader. You are connected to Kinetick first so all real-time data is received from Kinetick. If you subsequently disconnect from Kinetick, you will only be connected to MBTrading. That way, you receive real-time data from MBTrading.

You could also only connect to Kinetick first. Once all charts are loaded with data, please disconnect from Kinetick and subsequently connect to MBTrading.

You mention that the bid and ask data get stuck before you disconnect from Kinetick. So the disconnection from Kinetick itself does not cause the freezing numbers.

Do you notice any consistency when bid and ask price freeze? Do the bid and ask price freeze in the Control Center-->Orders-tab as well if you select the same instrument?

Do you experience any other freezing behavior in NinjaTrader?

Sorry, that was an error in my description. The BidAsk is stuck AFTER I disconnect. I just stops updating even though the chart does continue to update.

I see, am I correct the issue occurs consistently each time you disconnect from Kinetick?

Do the bid and ask data get stuck if you solely connect to Kinetick first, subsequently disconnect Kinetick when all data is loaded and you connect to MBTrading?

Sounds good, please check if the issue occurs when connecting solely to Kinetick, subsequently disconnect Kinetick and connect to MBTrading tomorrow.

Please let me know if the freezing bid and ask data consistently happens as well.

Following the protocol you suggested (opening Kinetick then closing before opening broker) and there appears to be no freezing problem. Thanks.
