    Pfg api

    PFG api is not connecting for any of my students. We upgraded Ninja to 7.0000000004, then removed the old PFG API and installed the new PFG API for Version 00000004 and nobody can connect.

    JAM, I just tested it here and got no issues connecting to PFG with API 463 as per here -



    What errors are you getting reporting when attempting to connect?

    If you right click on your PFG API symbol in the taskbar and select 'Show PFG Info' what version # do you get reported?

        Please go to your WIndows Control Panel and repair the NT7 installation from there, then recheck if you can connect - if not please contact me via Help > Mail to Support directly on this with your logs / traces included.

          I got the same message as shown in post # 3, when I upgraded to NT 7.4 with PFG API 1.0.463

                Did you install the correct PFG API client version for your installed NT version?



                If you did so already, please see my advise in post 4 of this thread and try going down that route too to resolve your issue.

                  I have a similar problem connecting to PFG. No issues with other connections (Kinetick EoD, AMP Futures, ...). I have followed the steps in Post #4 with no success. This happened after upgrading to the latest version of NT and the PFG API.

                  I have tried mailing the Trace Log to NT Support but received an error message there as well.

                  Not happy...

                    Problem fixed by uninstalling both NT7 and the PFG API and then re-installing. Easy...!

                        I am getting the same message as this one. I have installed the API, it just doesnt seem to want to connect to it. Spent the last 1 hour with PFG support on remote access, and they can´t get it to work either (very helpful though).

                        If I de-install then reinstall the NT7 and the API, will I lose all my chart settings etc ? How do I "repair the installation" from windows control panel ?

                        FYI. I am running version 1.000.2 NT7.

                          Which API # version do you exactly run ScottieDog? For NT7 R2 it would be important to be on 1.0.458 - http://www.ninjatrader.com/Connectio...tion-Guide.php

                            That´s right, I chose the correct API for my NT version. It still wouldn´t work.

                            I tried "repairing" the installation from the control panel, still wouldn´t work.

                            What happened was later on I did a de-install via the control panel, then a standard re-install. I made sure the API was installed first, then re-installed the NT, soon as I restarted the Ninja after the re-install, PFG connected. All my settings were saved as I did the minimal install procedure.
