Hi,

I am looking for a way to make the "0" line of the MACD histo be "centered" so when I overlay other indicators the MACD histo remains centered and correct...

I know in some other charting platforms it can be done with a "bounded by" option which you choose "center" and a value of 0...

Is there anyway to do this with NT?

Also, is it safe to go from the prrevious NT7 Beta to the new stable release even if you had the Windows 7 service pack 1 problem?

Thank you for your post.

The ability to bound the MACD indicator would be based on the particular panel settings. If you right-click on the y-axis for the MACD indicator panel you can set the scaling to Fixed and then set the upper and lower range of the indicator. More information at:

Then for upgrading if you are presently using NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.3, which you can verify in the Help > About field then you can upgrade to 7.0.1000.4 and you should be fine since the changes related to SP1 were included within the previous beta version, as well.

Thanks for the help.. so if I "fix" the MACD to .05 and -.05 that centers the Zero line of MACD and then all indicators overlayed will be centered to that Zero line as well?

Hi RT,

Yes, that should be true so long as when overlaying other indicators in the same panel as the MACD that you use a scale justification of overlay for the other indicators.
