how to disable NT7 DB cache

Hi, a performance-related question here: in the folder where NT stores its DB, there's a subfolder named "cache" and it's got tons of subfolders in turn (many of them empty). Is there a way to disable it? If it's crucial to have it, can I have it cleared out systematically to ease load on the file system? (file system *can* be enduring on system resources as far as windows.edb is concerned)

Hello billitin,

Unfortunately you cannot disable the creation of subfolders in the cache folder. It will create a folder when you create a chart (with a session template) in NinjaTrader.

The cache folder is in place for caching the building of bars which improves the performance of NinjaTrader greatly. If you would delete the cache you will lose this benefit. The next time you create a chart, it needs to build all bars from scratch.
