Any way to install on pre-patched SP1 ?

Hi,

My computer died on me so I reinstalled, using a SP1ed Windows 7 as available on MSDN.
I wasn't aware of this "you must unsinstall SP1" in the install guide, which obviously I can't perform.

Anyway to circumvent this an install NT on the SP1 setup ?

To clarify, you have NT7 R2 or earlier on a PC where you have just reinstalled Windows 7 with SP1 built in thus it can't be uninstalled?

If yes, then there is a way but its not pretty. I can get someone to walk you through it remotely since there might be several approaches. Yes. Except I don't have R2 because my PC is blank.

Anyway, using my pre-SP1 laptop I was able to intercept the msi, and it installed OK on the SP1 computer.
