Does a generic historical data file format translator exist?

Say I want to translate some historical data files from one format into the format accepted by NinjaTrader HDM, is there a program out there anywhere that lets me specify the input format and the output format and then does the conversion for me?

I've been googling without any luck - every program seems to be specific for one format to another.

I figured it won't take long to knock something up myself where I specify the usual "yyyy-MM-dd" style input and output format, but then I thought I must be re-inventing the wheel.
