Strat Analyzer defaults

Is it possible to change the defaults when the analyzer opens? Such as the date (current year would be convenient) Also 'standard' session times.

Hi Ashish:

Yes, it is possible change the session begins/ends time and the date range in the Strategy Analyzer. This can be accomplished under the backtest properties menu.

No, I mean that when you open it, the default values are my choice...

Some of the values such as paramters can be coded in the strategy itself. Period values and time frames are not.

irst of all thank you for the time in order to reply to me. What I'm getting at is; say you'v made strategy,and you want to backtest it. So, you right click on the instrument that you want to test it on, and a window opens (don't know what you call this window) with al sorts of different options;parameters,Data series,Time frame, General, etc. In this window, I would like to be able to 'elect' default values.Also.btw,this is the window that opens if you sart a strat frm the control center.

Thank you for replying.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to create defaults in this window, you must change these settings manually.

I will make sure the Development team adds this to thier list of possible future enhancements to the NT application.

Thanks...you do understand it's abit annoying re-setting some of the settings every time you restart nt.

You can programmatically set some defaults on a strategy by strategy basis. Please check out KBJ's post here. http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/v...06&postcount=5

It is a pretty comprehensive sample of the settings that can be preset. Hope this is what you were looking for.
