IB - Open tick compatibility

Hi there I dont know if anyone else is having/had this problem but I have both Open tick and Ib as my data feeds. I use OPentick for my US data and trading and IB for the balance the problem stems when I first connect to Opentick as it says in the guide and then connect to IB I dont get any prices for the nonUS markets eg the Hang Seng and the Spi. Shouldnt the program check Opentick first and then go to IB or did I read this wrong?

So why do you think it doesnt happen and like and I end up not getting quotes in Non opentick markets?

Not sure I undersand.

If you connect to OT first, you will only get data from OT for instrument types that are supported, such as futures. NT would only look at IB in the event that OT did not support futures.
