Installing NT in two machines with same key

Hello,

Is it allowed to install NinjaTrader onto two or more machines using the same licence key?

The reason I am asking this is to know if I can have a backup of the application in another PC in case mine crashes.

If using the same licence key was not possible, would I be able to register to get an additional licence key? And, in that case, what would be the most efficient way to share workspaces, etc. between these two licences?

Stopped, you can install NT with the same key on 2 PC's, provided you only use one at a time if a live license key is employed (as otherwise it would be a break of our EULA).

You can share custom files easily via the Backup and Restore feature - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...p__restore.htm

can I share my backup with another user?

I am doing a lot of development work for someone, and it seems like the easiest way to keep everything in alignment would be just sharing my backup folder. Can I do that? Would there be any conflict due to a different license?

You could for example create a backup of only the NS studies for example, this would then exclude your personal config files containing the license and account connection info.

So, just to be sure I understand correctly, if I were to backup only selected items from the checkboxes in the backup window, and then another user restored from my backup, he would only be restoring the items I backed up and his personal stuff and data and anything else I didn't backup, would be left alone?

NinjaTrader is a windows application which relies on the .NET Framework to operate and the .NET Framework is only available on Windows Operating System. Below you will find the supported minimum PC requirements for NinjaTrader.
Minimum PC Requirements

• Windows XP (SP3 Required), Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 2003 Operating System
• Minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768
• Minimum P4 Processor or higher
• 2GB RAM
• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (pre-installed on most PC's or can be downloaded below)

While we do not officially support running NinjaTrader on a Mac; we have had many clients run NinjaTrader on Mac hardware. We have specific installation instructions for Parallels and VMWare Fusion which will allow you to run NinjaTrader on your Mac. Below you will find instructions specific to the available options of running NinjaTrader on a Mac computer.
Mac Installation - Configuring NinjaTrader for Parallels 6:
When installing NinjaTrader on a Mac using Parallels 6, users will need to ensure that the following steps have been taken prior to installation of NinjaTrader.

1. Start Parallels and select your virtual machine
2. Press the "Configure" button on the top
3. Under "Features", select "Shared Profile"
4. Uncheck "Documents to My Documents in Windows"
5. Press "OK" and start the virtual machine

Mac Installation - Configuring NinjaTrader for Parallels 7:
