Up until now I have used NT to develop and backtest some strategies. Now I am attempting to take these same strategies and test them using the Sim101 account with Gain Capital.
My strategy is fairly simple, but based on the OHLC of the previous 5 bars. (I do have CalculateOnBarClose = true). I find that when I run the strategy from a chart window that it appears to execute only once. If I wait for a period of time (a few hours as this is a 1 minute strategy) and re-run the same strategy over the same period of time as historyical data from Gain then I find the strategy executes multiple times. Is there something I am failing to do to get this to run continously?
Also, in backtest NT provides indicates on the chart of when a position opens or closes (such as "Long @ 0.9432"). Should I also be seeing these when trading on Sim101?
