changing the NT "explosion" notification sound

How the heck do I change the ridiculous "explosion" notification sound that NT uses when there's some sort of system alert. For example, when IB TWS generates an alert or notification, how do I change the sound that is associated with it?

The current "explosion" sound scares the sh*t out of me every time, and I couldn't find any way to change it to something else.

I agree that this sound is annoying. If I am unlucky, NinjaTrader cannot find Kinetick or IB data and fires off 30 times and I cannot stop it. It is a real head-ache.

Thank you for your post.

If you go to Tools > Options > General you can disable the sounds, but if you would like the sound changed the sound files are stored in the C:\Local Disk > Program Files > NinjaTrader 7 > sounds folder.

So long as the sounds have the same names as what is already in that folder they will be recognized by NinjaTrader.
