    NT7.3beta only 2 instruments available

Hi I just installed the latest nt 7.3beta. When I try to open a new chart a Data series window comes up thats completely empty: http://screencast.com/t/kw6Yx2qc

Then I click on the 3 dots that opens up Instrument lookup. And it only shows 2 instruments. Under type there is only future. http://screencast.com/t/vicOewmUK2Pk

How do I get access to all the instruments I had available under version 6.5? which were a lot!

    Hi tzar55,

    Thank you for your post.

Can you please clarify if you upgraded from a previous version of NinjaTrader 7 to the latest, 7.0.1000.3 or if you migrated data from NinjaTrader 6.5.

Additionally, based on the screenshots, I will want to review your log and trace files so can you please send an email to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com and attach your log and trace diagnostic files, and please reference this forum thread.

You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.
    • The log file will be named ‘log.YYYYMMDD.txt’

You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
    • The trace file will be named ‘trace.YYYYMMDD.txt’

      NT support,
think there is a timezone bug with manual txt import. attached the txt file which i imported, and the data as being updated at Historical data manager. I am from India (GMT + 5:30, EST + 9:30 + Day Saving time).

there used to be no such issues with prior versions.

I am using the latest version, NT 7.3

      thanks in advance

Edit: I am using an External Data Connection which is working fine (Last, LastPlayback etc all working ok) but manual txt import is broken.

        ok i got the issue.

i was using a different timezone.

but there is another issue. previously NT used to save the timezone settings in HDM. now it dosent. so i changed the timezone to Indian standard time and imported the data, which worked fine. But when i opened the HDM again the timezone revert back to UTC. previously NT used to remember the same.

        thanks in advance

          Hello bukkan,

Glad to hear you've got the import issue worked out.

I seem to recall this tab operating differently in other versions as well, but am told that the behavior seen now is as expected. In any case, I'll forward this feedback on to development and ask that they take another look at this tab in future releases.
