MINISP500 Future (ES 06-11) Instrument doesn't work in realtime

Hello,

MINISP500 Future (ES 06-11) Instrument doesn't work in realtime. If I open a chart of 3 minutes for example connected with Interactive Brokers in realtime, the chart is stalled, no new ticks are displayed. Other instruments such as "^COMP 5minutes" work perfectly. Is there any thing I can do to solve this?

Thank you for your post.

The ES contract has yet to rollover into the 06-11 contract. Any available data for this front month will be of low volume and not all providers are yet reporting data for the ES 06-11 contract.

I see. But if I open a new Chart and look for "futures" and write "ES" the ES 06-11 is the only available option that is displayed. So to open the right contract, Do I only need to write "ES 03-11". Am I right?. Thanks

Hi Sangui,

Yes, since the 06-11 contract has yet to roll-over you can explicitly input ES 03-11 when creating an ES chart to make sure that you are able to access the current front-months real-time data, or if using the search feature when creating a chart you can change the symbol to ES 03-11 in the top-left of the initial Data Series window when creating a chart.
