    Fib tool templates

can you tell me where the templates for the fib tool are stored on my hard drive? i have several PC's and it would be nice to only have to create one set of fib tool templates once and then copy and move them to my other pc's. is that possible? it would be similar to moving chart templates and workspaces.

    thanks

    Hello Eric,

    Thank you for your post.

You can copy Fibonacci templates by using the NinjaTrader Backup Utility.

You can access this Utility from the Control Center -> File -> Utilities -> Backup.

The dialog window that appears has check boxes, specifically check 'Configuration' and 'Templates' to ensure that your Fibonacci templates are backed up.

The default location this will save is <My Documents>\Ninja Trader Backup\

The following link is to our Help Guide on Backups.
    http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt7/creating_a_backup_archive.htm

After you have moved the Backup file to the other computer, you will use the Restore Utility, Control Center -> File -> Utilities -> Restore, and use the pop up file browser to select the Backup.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

        Try this folder : My Documents/Ninjatrader 7/Templates/ChartObject

You will see 3 files but what you are looking for are Fibonacciextensions.xml and Fibonacciretracements.xml

        Hope this helps.

          Larry22,

Thank you for the assistance. You may need to restart NinjaTrader after copying the new files.

          Eric,

If the files that Larry22 mentioned do not exist, you can try transferring the UI.xml file from one computer to the other.
          • (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\UI.xml

Close NinjaTrader on the second computer, replace UI.xml and restart NinjaTrader.

Please let me know if your Fibonacci templates transfer correctly.
