I am using release 5 of version 6 with tradestation. I am wondering what do value 572 represents in parethesis at the last price in this superdome window, is it tradestation related or is present in real time brokers feed.

The number between parenthesis resembles the number of contracts currently being traded.

I have looked at my friends screen and he trades through patsystems, his dome has the same number thing as mine, but does this number represent last traded number of contracts or last number of ticks or it is cumulative total of bids and asks and I also noted that this number sometime remains constant for a little bit even trades are taking place, is possible to turn this off, it is really not very helpful.

The number represents the number of contracts currently being traded. Unfortunately, it is not possible to turn off this feature.
