Duplicate Instruments

Hello,

I am doing various screens and then importing instruments into NT (by listing a group of symbols to the add instruments screen). I usually create a custom list for each screen. Many instruments will be contained in multiple screens. How do I avoid having multiple instruments in my master instrument list in NT?

I think I understand you, but wonder what you mean with the term 'screens'.
Does this mean chart windows? Workspaces?

sorry its somewhat irrellevant but by screens i meant teh filters im using in third party websites to determine the list of instruments to import into NT.

To confirm, you're adding the symbols by importing from a list then, correct?

Yes, I use the 'import stock symbols". They import successfully. How do I prevent duplicates or will it parse? I believe I've already seen a duplicate.

Based on my testing, any duplicates should be skipped when importing from an instrument list.
