Getting rid of blocks showing up on lines

Hi,

In NinjaTrader 7 whenever I click on a curved line (e.g. SMA, Stochastics oscillator) a bunch of blocks show up on top of it.

What is the use for these blocks?
How can I deactivate that feature?

Hello marcusplexus,

Thank you for your post.

The black dots represent anchor points on your data series and indicate that you have selected the data series.

You cannot disable this feature from plotting these anchor points, however it is possible to change the Z-order of your data series to move this series toward the back of the chart and should help avoid from selecting the data series.

To adjust the z-order:

1. Select the chart object by left mouse clicking on it
2. Hold down the "Shift" key on your keyboard and roll the mouse scroll wheel to change the z-order of the object. The current position out of the total number of levels in the z-scale will be displayed.

Switching off selection

Hi

As far as I know you CAN switch off this feature of NT - go into Chart Properties and switch "Allow the selection or drag/drop of chart series" to false.

Thanks for checking this - you are correct that this will disable the data series anchors from plotting.
