Connecting Zen-Fire does not turn green

    Hello Support,

I found today on computer with Live license, my NT connection to Zen-Fire never turn green. Another computer of mine with SIM license has no issue connecting to Zen-Fire. So I make new connection setup for Zen-Fire, and the issue remain on the new connection.
Second connection to IB can turn green.

I disconnect my Sim computer from Zen-Fire, and attempt connection at Live computer again, problem remain, cannot turn green.

How can I troubleshoot this? Is it Zen-Fire or is it NT?

    Thanks.

    EdwardK.

    Hi EdwardK.,

    Thank you for your post.

Since the connection is working as tested with a separate installation the issue is likely with the particular connection. Can you please remove, repair and then recreate the connection.
    • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections--> highlight the connection--> click Remove
    • Then please go to Tools-->Options-->Data-->Repair DB
    • Restart NinjaTrader
    • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections and recreate the account connection.

The important step is the database repair and once you complete that step following the removal the following link will take you to a page that details the steps required for recreating a connection to your Zen-Fire based brokerage.

      Hello RyanOlson,

I did the repairDB, as the problem with DOM of two days ago came back,
, but without deleting account connections. It works as well.
This is the second repairDB I had to do. My DB has grown to 1.8GB. How can I minimize DB corruption? Anyway to split DB? Move older data perhaps?

      Thanks.

      Regards,

      EdwardK.

        Hi EdwardK,

Since your database is rather large you can rename the database to create a new database that would not be as large. When renaming the database you will lose access to the saved historical trade executions, and ATM strategies, but it will reduce database corruption based on the size since NinjaTrader will then be using a new database.

        To rename the DB:
        • Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
        • Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> DB--> NinjaTrader.SDF.
        • Right click on NinjaTrader.SDF and select "Rename."
        • Name it "OLDNinjaTrader.SDF."
        • Then restart the software.

I would recommend that you create a backup of your database prior to renaming as well if you do rename the database as a precautionary measure. More information at:
