NT Crashes During Optimization

I've been getting sporatic crashes with optimizations. Optimizing the same strategy on the same data will run fine, then next time NT will crash. When the crash occurs i'm sent to windows error reporting.

What should I do to report the bug?

darckeen, can you please send me your trace and logs via Help > Mail to Support so I could review? The error reporting itself is more related to your OS / .NET than NinjaTrader - what setup environment are you running in?

I sent the logs and trace files via NT's support menu.

I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on an AMD 1055T.

Something similar is happening to me, however it doesn't crash, after running an optimization and taking several hours to complete, I do not receive the results of the stock symbol list I selected, instead, I receive the result of only one stock.

I do not only select one stock when I run the optimizer, I select the list of stocks

Thanks for the report - however I was unfortunately unable to reproduce here - if I for example right click on the DOW30 list and then optimize the SampleMACrossOver on it, I get the best results for each stock contained in the list shown under the Instruments tab. Are you doing anything different here?

I too have been unable to reproduce the errors, my backtests seem to be running which is good

Mabey it was a windows thing, or possibly related to changing the computer to a wired connection.

Also installed visual studio so if it happens again I can get the dump file.
