Canadian stocks and IB can't load

brand new user, so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

i would like to see a chart of a canadian stock traded in the TSE. I did a search and tried all of the solutions that were posted.

This is what am doing:

Intrument editor definition:

Master instrument: BIM
Currency: CanadianDollar
Exchange: Tse

Under misc:

Symbol map/Interactive brokers i enter BIM

go ok and then got to new chart under File

i enter BIM then go ok

i then get this message:

error on loading chart data for 'BIM Default;: ib:Error in requesting historial data from IB:No security definition has been found for the request(200)

i have tried it with a few other stocks and get the same thing. in IB all i do is enter the stock name BIM and it works. if i choose contract description in IB it shows: underling BIM, security type STK, exchange SMART, primary exchange TSE, currency CAD

i assume am not the only one trying to chart canadian stocks - so probably someone has the solution.

any help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Thank you for your post.

Please set the mapping to BIM|SMART within the Misc tab of the Instrument Editor-->Click Ok-->Remove BIM from your Default list and add it back in.

Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

Can't display Canadian stocks

I can't display any Canadian stocks either with IB data feed.
Is there supposed to by some kind of prefix prior to the stock name under the Misc tab?

Here's an example: HNU it's on the TSE.
Please explain how it should be setup because doing the obvious I do for any American stock doesn't work.

First please delete the instrument you have created for HNU then add HNU once again with the settings outlined in the attached screen shots-->Restart NinjaTrader then let me know if you receive data successfully.
