    Second Data Import replaces data?

    Hi NT Support,
I have two after market data sources for about 30 instruments.

The first provides data in OHLCV format at minute intervals. While importing data, I also create daily bars by checking the option, "Generate 'Day' bars". This will give me the minute bar data as well as the day bar data.

The next source is daily data in OHLCV format which will be available on next day morning, before start of trading.

    My question is:

Will the 'Day Bar' data I import replace the ALL the 'Day Bars' generated from the minute data or only to the extant the data for the instruments for which the minute data is missing? (Will a second Import 'Replace' the existing data?)

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello murthymsr,

    Thank you for your post.

Only data that shares the same time will be overwritten when importing new data. For example if you have imported data for the previous year then you import new data for 1 of the months only this one month would be overwritten.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
