NT 7 32 bit on a 64 bit Vista PC?

Tried connecting NT 7 to Patsystems (Vista 64 bit, 4 gb HP PC) and received the message that Pats does not support 64 bit. Their tech support said NT has a version compatible with Pats 32 bit feed.

Is such an NT version available that can run on 64 bit Vista? If so, any issues observed?

    Thank you

    Hi Riverbrook,

    Welcome to the NT forums!

Yes, if you have a 64 bit machine, both versions of NinjaTrader are installed. You will just have to click the 32 bit icon on your desktop in order to use the patsystems connection.

Thank you for the quick reply Ryan.

Sorry if I'm being thick here... I have only the 64 bit icon on desktop and a Ninja Trader 7 folder exists only in the C:\Program Files (x86) and Documents folders.

I explicitly selected the 64 bit version when downloading NT.

        Hello,

This means you most likely deleted an icon. You should see both versions under Start Menu->All Programs->NinjaTrader 7.

Also, The 64 bit and 32 bit versions are located in the program Files(x86).

Both versions are always installed on a 64bit PC.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Based on another thread i first Uninstalled NT7 using Control Panel Add / Remove programs; cleared all cookies, temp files, etc in IE; re-booted and downloaded again.

Still no icon but now see both NT and NT 64 bit available in the programs menu and both a bin and bin64 folder in NT7 folder under C:\Program Files (x86).

Started NT version and connection completed.

          TY

Could someone from NT support please tell me if the 32-bit version of NinjaTrader 7 (NT version Seven - latest build) will work on a windows 7 64-bit OS without any glitches or any minor problems, when using the following trading set-up for automated trading: TradeStation 9.0 + NT 7 DLL method + RJO Futures broker with a PATS connection ???

            Thank you in advance.

              Hello Rocket130713,

Yes, I am not aware of any issues. When NinjaTrader 7 is installed on a 64 bit operating system, it will install two icons. One will run NinjaTrader in 32 bit, the other will run NinjaTrader in 64 bit. Patsystems is not supported in 64 bit, so you will need to run NinjaTrader in 32 bit.
