    ALT+F4 Hot Key

    Hi all,

    re: N7r2

My ALT+F4 key is a Hot Key that is defined to delete a chart that has focus. My problem is that I neither remember defining ALT+F4 as a hot key nor can I find it in the hot key manager; I accidentally hit ALT-F4 (when intending to hit ALT-F5) and it deleted my chart without a confirmation prompt. Is this hot key combo NinjaTrader defined? Can I defunct it so that I don't delete any thing else, or is there a way to associate a prompt with this key combo?

The other problem - in helping my trading partner successfully upgrade from 6.5 to v7r2 yesterday (on 1/11/2011 after market hours) the Ninja app pulled up CL (crude oil) data fine, however, all of the volume charts were missing 1/11/2011 crude oil data. All the other dates on volumed as well as timed charts were fine. The volume charts were the only charts that were missing 1/11//2011 CL data. Would you know what might be causing this gap in data?

    Thanks

    Hello

    Thank you for your post.

What you can do with NinjaTrader 7 is define your Chart shortcuts using the Hot Key Manager. Please see the following link for more information.

However, I would advise against assigning Alt+F4 any function since that is a Windows based shortcut for closing any active window. It may be possible to disable that feature but that would need to be done on the OS level.

      Thanks Chip,

How about the 2nd problem I listed in the original post. Do you have any information on that?

        Hello,

What data feed provider are you using?

Also what session template is in use?

I look forward to assisting you further.
