    Close position disable strategy

    Hello,

If I manually close a position, it appears that any strategy that has a data series in the same instrument is disabled, regardless of whether it has a position or has ever had one. Is this expected behaviour? Is there a flag for this?

Why does it happen? It's hugely annoying.

    thanks
    Dave

Hi Dave, this would be expected behavior if you're using the 'Close' button / algorithm - it would cancel all orders / strategies for the instrument and modify existing orders to get you flat, or send a market order if needed. If you just offset the position manually, the strategies running should not be affected.

Thanks. Could you consider adding a flag to strategy start up.

      "Never disable unless manually disabled"

As Ninja has a big lack of monitoring of automated trading I have a strategy that does that, and I just can't have it disabled for something like a position close. Especially since it never trades.

Thanks for the useful enhancement suggestion Dave - we'll add it to our list for future consideration.
