Hmm. It should show previous days data automatically. Please try reloading your database's historical data. Also ensure you have the data for the time interval you are charting (e.g. tick, min, daily).

The only thing I found was "Wait for Data" under the "Simulator" tab. I made that "0" but I still have the same problem: indicators don't start plotting until 20 bars later. Please help.

Also, is there a way to get the previous day's activity to show in Market Replay? For example, I am playing back 12/05/07, but even though I have Market Replay data for the previous two days, I can't see it in the chart (days back is the default 15). I even tried to play 12/04/07 first, but still, when I play 12/05/07, no data from 12/04/05 shows. Any ideas?

    Thank you,
    Bert

I don't think that is an option at this time. It has to go into the daily folder structure.

    Philip/all,

I was able to download and playback some YM files.

Is there a reason that volume (the simple "VOL" indicator) doesn't start plotting until 20 bars later? I set my chart properties to 8:30am to 3:15pm local time, use 1-min chart, and volume only starts plotting on the 8:50am bar... Same with Woodies CCI indicator, and probably others, but I don't use others.

    Thank you,
    Bert

    Philip,

On forums they say, don't shout (i.e. don't use all caps).

    Oh, well...

    THANK YOU!!!

    Regards,
    Bert

Oh hi Lg and pdawg, that is great...it works! Thanks to your help. If someone has a batch of NQ files I ould love to have them because I am trying to really focus on one instrument and I have decided for now to stick with the NQ. Thanks again.

You can find your market replay files at the
    following location:
    My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6-->db-->data

Here you will see different folders for each
date. If you open up a folder you will see text files
for each instrument you recorded data for.
Please add or delete the desired date or files from this
location and it will also be added or deleted in the
    NinjaTrader application.

If the problem is that they are zipped, you might need to unzip them first.

LG is correct. The files are zipped on the site, so you will have a bunch of daily folders in them. You can just extract it to the db/data directory.

I have not seen the exact files in question, but if they are editable you can try putting them into Excel and converting them to the format NinjaTrader accepts.

Yes, a lot of requests have been made for this. What is up now is a quick and dirty setup, but gets the job done. I will tweak it over time as things evolve and requests/suggestions are made.
