Chart option : 'Reload All Historical Data'

Hi,
In the Charts window as well as the Market Analyzer window, I find the right click option 'Reload All Historical Data'. But this is always grayed (ineffective). When will this option be active?

After I import some historical data, (say End of day daily or minute historical data) this button will be highly useful to refresh the data.

Now after importing the data, I am stopping and restarting NT7 program to see the revised charts after importing. This may not be the intended way.

Kindly advice.

The 'reload all historical data' option will only be available when you are connected to a real-time data provider.

Are you connecting to a real-time provider, or are you just importing historical data from another source?

Firstly thanks Mathew, for your response @ speed of light !

Just importing historical data from another source after market hours, not a real time provider.

In this case, is there any better way of doing than what I am now doing?

If the data is coming from an external source, the way you're going about things currently is the way to go.
