    Manually add TP?

So, I placed a market order with an ATM stop loss of 7 ticks. Can I add a take profit manually and have it function as if I had set it to begin with? (in other words, it is an OCO with the SL order)?

    Hello JoshDance,

    Thank you for your post.

    That is correct.

If you place an ATM Order without a profit target, if you manually place a profit target your stop will operate in a OCO fashion.

Thank you. In the ATM Strategy box I have a strategy which has a TP of 20 ticks. When I right click "Add Target" nothing happens. I didn't have to use an ATM strategy on the original order to do this right?

        JoshDance,

        1) This can be accomplished with Chart Trader and with any other entry methods of NinjaTrader. However, Chart Trader and the SuperDOM are the most effective visually.

        2) You will need to place an order to achieve this. Example: You enter the market long without a profit target, you will manually need to place a Sell Limit Order. Though the link below has examples in the SuperDOM this also works in Chart Trader.

Please see the following link for additional information on Submitting Orders.

The 'Add Target' function is for adding up to three targets on an active ATM Strategy that was placed with a Profit Target.

When I place this Sell Limit order, you're staying it will automatically cancel the Sell Stop order I placed when I placed the original order (remember, I said I had a SL but no TP)?

            JoshDance,

            That is correct.

If you place an ATM Strategy order without a Profit target, your manually entered profit target will cancel the Stop Loss that was attached to the ATM Strategy.

I suggest connecting to the Simulated Data Feed and using the trend slider to test this.
