"Rejected" Error - Unable to go Long 2 Cntrcts ES Futures

Hi,

I am currently connecting NT to IB and am trying to go long 2 contracts of the ES future. I am confident that I have enough margin in my IB account to go 2+ contracts of ES, however,I am receiving the following error message:

"Rejected: The following order ID:222" value estimate of 127,225 USD exceeds the total value limit of 99,753 CAD. Restriction is specified in Precautionary settings of global configuartion/presets. (451)"

How can I resolve this issue?

Hi strader99,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Support Forum.

That message is occurring due to a setting within IB's Trader Workstation platform and you will want to edit the TWS settings in the Configure-->Global Settings and then modify your total value limit.

However, since this error originates in Trader's Workstation I would encourage you to contact IB so that they can detail the configuration setting you will want to modify in TWS to resolve this issue.
